Notes * * *
Be prepared to explain:
- What does Flash do well?
- What doesn't Flash do well?
- What are the four button states, and what do they do?
- What are frame labels, and how do we use them?
Supplemental * * *
- Examples from Flash Journalism, Lesson 4
- Examples from Flash Journalism, Lesson 5
- Flash trick: An invisible button (very useful!)
- ActionScript 1, 2, 3: The script shown in the book works with ActionScript 2 but NOT with ActionScript 3. You can change your Flash movie to use AS2 instead of AS3 very easily. See how to do it (the illustration shows an older version, but this works the same in all versions of Flash). PLEASE USE ACTIONSCRIPT 2. We will discuss ActionScript 3 in class.
